Picture the scene… you have just got home from work after a busy day and ready to sit down to watch your favourite tv show when the phone rings…You are not expecting anyone to call and then you answer only to be asked about PPI, a recent (none) accident, double glazing or a number of other numerous sales calls. Who can be called
If you are on the Electorial Register and between 18 and 75 you have a chance of being called. The new age of 75 was recently introduced for England and Wales There are exceptions of who can and cannot be a Juror and this will be detailed on your letter. Please note my experience is based on England court systems.
I have been called twice and while I cannot mention any details I will expand generally on what to expect.
The process begins with a letter (known as the Jury Summons) delivered to your home (by normal post). It will give you a date and time to report for Jury service – generally is it around 4-6 weeks away from the date of the letter. This should give you time to arrange childcare cover, time off work etc.

What is carbon monoxide poisoning
Carbon monoxide is a gas that has no colour, taste or smell yet it can kill you. The gas is produced by burning material containing carbon.

Empty Nest Syndrome
Empty nest syndrome is a feeling of grief and loneliness parents may feel when their children leave home for the first time. Some common situations are – when children leave to live on their own or to attend a college or university.
Most parents are likely to be affected by empty nest syndrome, though some factors can create a predisposition to it. Adults who are facing various stressful events in life such as menopause, moving away or retirement, the death of spouse are more likely to experience this syndrome. Some common conditions associated with empty nest syndrome are – sadness, loneliness, sense of loss of purpose, feelings of rejection, depression, stress and anxiety over the child’s welfare.
